This life is not glamorous, nor is it proper or beautiful; frankly that was why my eye was drawn to it. Born in New York and never quite growing up, Dash Snow depicts his wild-child lifestyle through the camera lens. He was sent to a special school for personality disorders, but never got any kind of degree and reveled in a circle of New York artists that was all about the party scene. There was plenty of sex, and there were plenty of drugs; appropriately, Snow died at the tender age of 28 from a drug overdose.
And yet, his photographs have been featured in several galleries and display a raw, honest quality.
It says "This is me, and this is my world. It's not perfect, but it's mine."
It just goes to show that true ability can manifest in any kind of person.
