Catherine Meadows Weekly Post #5

Wittner Fabrice is a freelance street photographer. The series of pictures that I enjoyed looking at most were in his light painting series. He first started this project in May of 2011 in New Zealand, soon after a 6.3 earthquake had hit there. His idea for this series was to have each picture be a remembrance of the lives that were lost that day. So he used stencils to paint and enlighten certain people from the city. I liked that the scenes he chose for his light painting photos were of parts of the city that were completely damaged. It really helped tell the story and make the point that he was trying to make. I was really impressed by his light painting pictures and would like to try to take pictures like that sometime. I also like the lighting choices he makes in his pictures. He takes a lot of his pictures by streetlights at night and the way the light shines on the objects around it really make the picture look nice.
