Ryan started out as a graphic designer for Dub Brand Weathergear. His father was the one who got him into photography in the first place though. He didn't really fall in love with photography until he saw his first photo develop in a dark room while in college. That's when he knew that he wasn't going to put down a camera. His mainly takes images of people. He likes the different emotions and stories that the people carry and finds ways to show it in his pictures. For example, if the person he is shooting is a singer, he will take a picture of him in a music studio or on a stage in front of a microphone. I like the fact that he takes the time to find out more about the subjects in his picture. It helps the subjects feel more comfortable and natural so that the picture will turn out better. I was immediately intrigued by Ryan's work. I love the clarity in his pictures and the way he edits them. I also like the amount of black and white pictures that he uses.
