The Attendants
This is incredible and inspiring. Myroto's ongoing project "The Attendant" is based off of the sex slavery happening in Greece and is to raise awareness as to what is actually happening in these brothels. She is sticking the nose of her camera into places where often the public just closes their eyes or chooses not to believe its happening. She is bringing a voice to women that have none.
Her style of only using normally two or three colors in her photos really make her message really clear. Also many times the subject is either blurry because of the long shutter speed but makes the viewer really catch the mood of what these women are going through.
I am so incredibly inspired and I want to take her guts to go to places that I am passionate about and be able to be a voice to people that have none right here in the center of Norfolk. I want the viewer to be able to feel the mood and tone of my photos to be experienced even if there not right in the heart of it.
