This week's blog is dedicated to the talented Kelly Segre. Her passion for the vintage is amazing and is portrayed in her photography. Most of her photographs are in black and white, which is another reason why I was interested in her work. Her love for black and white photography helped establish her awesome nickname "Gré." And her use of contrast really brings out the shadows and highlights of everyday things and forms.
Black and white images are more beautiful and interesting to me because, even without colors, these kind of images can still "paint" or tell a story. Light and shadows, together, create forms. with contrast, images can also look more detailed and sharper too, which is a great and beautiful feature in these photographs. Segre's images are well balanced with her uses of blacks and whites; shadows and highlights. Kelly's work is quite marvelous and worth looking at.
