Clarissa Stanley - Artist Post 2

Adrian Mueller

1.) Styled to look like abstract paintings,  photographer Adrian Mueller captures reactions from different types of food mixing. Mueller seems to use the zoom to his advantage, as you cannot see the pans or anything else surrounding the reactions in the kitchen. There is also no clear focus or subject in these photos
2. The photos are intended to be mundane things that would occur in someones everyday life while cooking in the kitchen. Mueller takes this mundane and makes it into something most people do not see or even realize is happening when these foods touch. The purpose of the shoot to be that when people see it and read what foods made the imagery, they have a personal connection or memory.
3. I personally do not feel a connection to this artists work but enjoyed this series because of some of the things he mixes together and the reactions are so vast. The last picture is probably my favorite, and the colors, texture contrast from bubbles to whispy clouds.
