Steve McCurry is a well known photographer born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He studied film at Pennsylvania State University and then became a free lance photographer. After a while he went on to take trips to India which he then fell in love with.
He once favored shooting in black and white but after reaching India he switched over to Kodachrome. The colors he captured on his many trips are so vibrant. Not only does it tell you about the place itself but also the people within it. By spending a lot of time there he was able to truly explore all that India had to offer. Whether the image was staged or decisive moment, he really used his eye to create a moment.
I was truly captured by the color and how he got them to be so vibrant. He caught emotion with subject.
