Aaron Ruell’s is a well known
photographer. His fame started mainly after he shot the promotional photography
for Napoleon Dynamite, and he also designed the opening title sequence
to the film. Mr. Ruell’s photography has been seen in basically every major
publication and a book of his photography titled, "Some Photos," that
was released in 2008. In 2009 he was also recently awarded "Best
Book" by the PDN Annual.
I love Aaron
Ruell’s portrait photographs. He seems to take photos so effortlessly. I
really like how in the first the image model is wearing a pale pink so she does
not get hidden in the background. In the photo there is a mirror frame that
contains prints instead of an actual mirror. The prints inside the frame even
match that of the teal brick wall and the pillows on the couch. There are also
hints of teal the coffee table. In the second photo I like how the dog is
sitting on a little table and the colors of the dog seem to work well with the
salmon color pink. I also love how in the second image the mirror is reflecting
a picture and part of a chandelier. The love the third image because all of the
colors in the image work well together. I do not feel like anything over bears
any part of this image, everything works well together.
