Nobuyoshi Araki
Nobuyoshi Araki is a Japanese photographer who focuses on figurality, lyricism of life and shifting values in his photos. His main topics usually focus on sex, death, self/life, and modern scene of tokyo. The three photos are from his collection entitled Kinbaku which technically mean bondage if translated in English.
The one thing that I like about these pictures is that the images are raw and the position of the bodies are twisted in a way of shape that you would normally see. It also draws attention that these women are hanging by ropes and just dangling in midair giving it a mysterious feeling especially within the black and white images, giving it an almost haunting look like in a crime scene. The one photo with color has a calm color of blue in the background and the skin tone of the women blends in well with it.
