The artist could
have been taking these photographs at a handholding speed 1/60 of a second or
faster for those images that may have motion in them. There is a shallow depth of field present in
some so I would say F4 or larger to let in more light.
The concept of
these photographs was to bring together different photographers to make
photographs of “sameness”. All of the
twins shown are identical however some look extremely different. It is the photographer’s job to make us
curious and what to know why that is and want to know where they are. I feel that each of the photographers that
contributed to this series did just that.
Being a twin
myself I clicked on these images for that reason initially however there is
more to these photographs than just that.
Within these images there is an absolutely beautiful execution of light
and color. Though these people obviously
look the same there is a different story with each one. I enjoyed viewing all the viewpoints from the
different artists. The scenery in which
the photographs were taken was a nice touch as well. They definitely don’t follow the point and
shoot method the photographers seemed to me to survey the scene and make the
beautiful capture of these twins special.
