What are the artist's technical choices?
The artist uses dark urban areas to portray homes for these exotic animals. He found areas where he could place these animals to look like they were still living outdoors. It seems that he used a deep depth of field to capture the detail around the 'landscape'
What are the artist's conceptual and/or thematic intents?
His idea behind this project was to show how humans have destroyed these animals natural habitats. He places them inside in urban areas to show how they have had to accommodate their living habits to ours now. My favorite example is the toucan on the wires as if he were on a tree branch.
How do you respond to these choices and intents?
I think that these photos are very powerful and have a lot of deep meaning behind them. When we see these animals out of their natural habitat and in urban areas it sends a wave of emition through a person. Seeing how drastic they have had to change how they live because humans can be greedy and are taking way their homes.
