1. These images are from Larry Fink's Preparation series. The images portrays all the preparations to have a wedding. From dress fittings, to makeup, and even gathering the flower girls are all the things that need to be done in order to have the perfect wedding.
2. Larry Fink puts a lot of of emphasis on light. All the subject itself is somewhat hectic, the lighting helps slow down and capture the moments that will be remembered after the event. Preparing for a wedding is a very fast pace event, Flint is able to capture all the movement in the images he made. The highlights and shadows does a great job making the photo interesting and energetic in itself.
3. I like these photos because it steps out of the boundaries of normal wedding photos. The images are more decisive and the emphasis on shadow makes them unique. Shadows are usually not emphasized in wedding photography. I am able to learn many aspects of photography through these images in composition, lighting, and perspective.
