Ashly Mollienido Weekly Blog Post #9

Jeff Wall, a Canadian artist, was born in 1946. He has won many awards and has exhibited his work internationally, and still exhibiting solo to this day.

I was first drawn to this artist through the words used on his website. In each photo, although his titles of his work are put in the most simplest ways, his descriptions of the photographs take the meaning of the photographs into deeper meanings. His thought process for each shot is meaningful and every decision made stands for something. If you get a chance to visit his website, take a few minutes to read the descriptions to his work. I admit, I baffled at the titles of his pieces at first, but after reading the descriptions, I can understand his decisions and how it impacts and shows his own appealing style.
