Sarah McCollough Weekly Post #6

Peter Cannon is an Australian photographer. He works in many different fields and he collaborates with his wife, Nicci through Cannon Digital. Through his career he has utilized many different forms of photography to capture his images.
I found this photograph, 'Rays Through The Sun" interesting because it was shot using his iPhone 4S. He then edited it using an app called HDRfusion then used software for noise removal. His rational on using his iPhone instead of the camera he had on him at the time, a borrowed Canon 7D, was because of the lens angle. According to Cannon, this camera was more sports oriented, but not suitable for the shot. To photograph this scene he needed a wide lens, and without the wide lens attachment he was at a loss. Luckily the iPhone 4S has a 35mm lens, and was sufficient enough to do the job. He then edited with Photoshop and noise-removing program called Topaz DeNoise. It think it is surprising that a photo from an iPhone turned out this well.
