Mark Seliger is an American photographer. He is
from Texas and studied at an art school in high school and focused on documentary
photography in college. Seliger is very prominent in the industry with his commercial and portrait photography.
My favorite aspect of Seliger’s photography is his
portraiture work. These include many celebrities. Through his photography finds
a way to portray the celebrity’s essence as well as adding an element of
whimsical-ness. These elements combine to create an atheistically pleasing,
captivating and enthralling work of art.
He has worked for well-known publications, such as Rolling Stone, GQ and Vanity Fair, to name a few. He has also explored other venues, such as directing and creating country music.
