Christina Crespo-Blog Post 2

Ron Jude




1. The photos above by Ron Jude are landscapes. They all seem to be a little overexpesed in all or some of the photo. The landscapes are slightly distorted by too much light or an illusion made by shadow or form. All of his photos appear to use only natural light. 

2. Jude seems to make all or most of his pictures of nature. He appears to express the illusions that nature creates also communicating the beauty of nature and its capabilities. Jude's photos are usually cropped to focus on a certain part of the image. 

3. I enjoy the use of overexposure in these photos. I especially am drawn to the first one with the brightness of the sun taking over half of the dingy background and making a beautiful, whimsical scene. I think the third photo would be better as a painting. It reminds me of Mark Rothko.
