1. In the photos above there seems to be only the use of natural light and ambient light. The choice of lighting works well with the dingy appearance of the inside of the prison. His pictures are documentary style showing the women in the prison.
2. Ifrah captures the emotion of the female prisoners. He shows how they are living in a barbed wire and caged environment. The use of lighting shows how depressing and lonely the environment is.
3. These photos are interesting to me because it is not a place that is seen everyday. Some of the photos connect with the viewer as the subject stares straight forward. The pictures almost make the viewer feel sorry for the prisoners even thought they are there for a crime they have committed.
