1) What are the artist’s technical choices?
In Rubi Lebovitch's series Home Sweet Home, he chooses to photograph absurdity in the setting of a home. The photographs are in color and feature items almost anyone can find in their own home with a crazy twist.

2) What are the artist’s conceptual and/or thematic intents?
Lebovitch takes the general idea that the home is a place to unwind and relax, and turns that on its head. He adds strange details and things that should not belong in the spaces of the home, or do but somehow turns them into something uneasy. All that is reasonable, is no longer that. Logic goes out the window. The series is a look into disillusion and lends itself to be a photographic stream of consciousness (mainly because the artist is creating a place for the viewer to see the random, peculiar concepts that form in his imagination.

3) How do you respond to these choices and intents?
These images are strange indeed. I was drawn to them because of their strangeness and color. It reminded me of having a roommate and the feelings of aggravation and frustration one can feel. Seeing the little things around the house out of place seems to be a huge issue. People tend to blow things out of proportion and see them one hundred times more serious than it really is over someone else's mess or insanity. The pictures feel like an invasion of home to me.
