Gustavo Minas
In Minas' photographic project Bus Stop, he explores is need to observe and get close to others. Majority of the pictures were shot with a shutter speed of 1/60th or faster to capture his intents. He used low lighting for all of his pictures and captures people at the bus stop.
Minas is an individual who can't help but feel alienated in the world. The bus stop is a significant piece because it is a place where people of different ethnicities and backgrounds connect paths everyday. He composes pictures of people who live in the same city, but are otherwise disconnected.
I think that Gustavo Minas' approach to Bus Stop was an approach that suited him well. Since he feels alienated, and he chose to make this project at a place where people are connected everyday was a great idea. It also resulted in better pictures.
