Brandon Hamlet Weekly Blog Part 1

Chris Sorensen

Chris Sorensen uses a slr camera with a long lens or a telephoto lens with a great zoom to capture these beautiful photos. One thing in his work that stood out, is how the details in these pictures seem to be almost flawless. These photos were all taken from a foreign culture but through these photos it really almost gives you insight into what this foreign place is like.

The artist seems to be a photographer who's work focuses on culture, at least the photos in this particular collection of pictures. He really does a brilliant job with capturing culture by taking photos of the people, architecture, and the nature.  He also uses the focus element extremely well in his photos driving the viewers eye to where he wants his audience to focus. These pictures have extremely strong visual appeal due to the strong composition and choice of setting.

This photographer inspired me to really pay attention to detail, and I want my pictures to have the strong connection to culture that his photos have. To do this I will use some of the same techniquies  he uses, like learn use the zoom just right and really connecting to the audience through my work.
