HER
Salvaterra in her series "Her" has taken all the photos in black and white mostly everything is in focus but uses deep contrast between black and white within the photo. Her models are in wardrobe that is very over the top but makes them stand out amongst the background.
In this series Marjorie has taken black and white pictures of her friends dressed up in wigs and dresses. During this she portrays what society thinks women should be like and how they actually feel. She does this by multiple stills in many places where women should be found "civil".
I will take from these photos the deep contrast she uses within the photos but also the incredibly amounts of gray tones. I will also keep in mind how great and fun it is when you are able to control the models in what they're wearing and how it adds a tone to the photos.
