Eri Morita
1. Eri Morita's " In This Beautiful Bubble", decided to capture children in her hometown neighborhood in Encinitas. Eri lived and traveled all across the world from Maui to Sn Monica. While living in Tokyo at an early age Eri and her friends learned to have each other backs from danger. When she moved to Southern California she noticed the differences from her childhood to that of her children. Her children grew up in a safe neighborhood without have to fear or want for anything.
2. While exploring in her small town, Morita captured significance of Encinitas and the influence it has on the children youthful years of discovery and exploring. Morita's daughter envied her mother's childhood while her mother marveled at the new life of herself as well as her family. Morita foreshadows the inevitable departure that each children will have when they grow up and move on to different paths in the near future.
3. Like Morita's children, I also live in the suburbs so I know about living in a bubble. I am grateful for the life my parents allowed me to have because some people don't not have the luxury in living in neighborhoods where their children and families can live in peace rather than fear.
