1). I am not sure if these photos are correct, since they are digitally altered, but they're still photos. I am unsure if these photos were completely computer generated, but the last photo of the city particularly looks like an actual photo that was just altered be repeated the windows in the building. That photo could possibly have not been altered at all. In the other two photos, the focus is around the sun. In the top photo the city, and jungle, are wrapped around the sun.
2). Young Sam Kim's focus in these photos were to show the over-crowdedness of cities and how the world has become chaotic. He could have chosen to show us a beautiful nature photo of a lake with some ducks swimming around, but instead he chose to show us the reality. It is interesting, however, that in the truthfulness of these photos, he altered them to be something else. One could say he altered them to emphasize his point. On the other hand, one could say he altered them to reflect how the world could be.
3). I really like these photos. I think they're aesthetically pleasing in a chaotic way. Your eye is always moving from one thing to another. There isn't just one main focal point in these photos. You can find many things to lay your eyes upon and go "Oh, I see how this relates to that." There is always something to keep you interested, in these photos.
