1. John Schultz uses digital and black/white to give his subjects a kinda grunge/old timey look for the first two photographs and an old fashioned look to the third photograph. he maintains a fairly close distance to his subjects to keep a sense of intimacy.
2. These photos show an alternative style of models, becoming more and more popular among photographers now. Shooting these photographs in black/white and using post editing to distress the first two photos add to the new, edgy alternative look.
3. I think Schultz has an interesting eye to captures various looks from his subjects, due to his forwardness in communicating with his models to capture the image in his mind, often working in collaboration with the model to release the end vision that they are shooting for.
