Photographer: Naomi Harris
This project is called EUSA. It is a portrayal of American themed places around Europe and European themed places in the United States. The locations that she chose are a perception of fantasy, a sense of what the other wishes the reality would be in today's globalized society. Naomi Harris is a professional hobo who became a US Citizen in 2013 and is originally from Toronto, Canada.
I like how she chose to under expose two of these photographs to give them a more authentic look as well as her using different shutter speeds to capture the smoke coming from the boys gun in the second image above. I think it is pretty interesting how she captured the smoke coming from the gun and the little spirals of smoke that came out of the gun as well.
She definitely made me think on how time and exposure as well as under exposing can create or make an image that much better than what it could have been just taken quickly and normally without playing with the different settings as well as shutter speeds. In the third image I like how the trees create different sections in the picture almost making you look at different aspects of this photograph. The first image is really mind blowing as well as how she caught the boy on the trains facial expression as the train was moving as well as the things happening in the background of the picture as well.
