Aimee Bruce weekly post #4 9/10/2013

Ron Jude

Ron Jude was born in Los Angeles in 1965. During his youth, Ron grew up in the Pacific Northwest. Much of his work has been exhibited in many venues. The piece posted above was from the Lick Creek Line exhibition. As you can see, this photo has a profound depth of field. Based on that statement, I would assume he used an F-stop of 32/45 to fully capture this image. Since Ron's photo appears to be frozen in time, one could come to the conclusion that his shutter speed was at least 1/100 of a second. Ron could have easily hand held or used a tripod.

For this particular exhibition, Ron focused in on the landscape, architecture, and the ever spreading resort communities. During this time, he followed a fur trapper and his trap line in the remote area of Idaho.
