Jay Maisel 

 Jay Maisel is a modern photographer who takes a simplistic approach to taking beautifully eye catching photos. I found his photos very interesting to look at because they look so simple but have so much to offer at the same time. As you can see below, he takes an interesting perspective of everyday objects and people to incorporate color, shape and light. I find his portfolio very inspiring. His portfolio is amazing so make sure to check it out whenever you get a chance.

 

He became a photographer in 1954. Maisel studied Graphic Design as well as painting at Manhattan's Cooper Union and Yale University. He currently lives in lower Manhattan. Maisel has acquired numerous awards over the years including the Lifetime Achievement Award of the American Society of Media Photographers and the Infinity Award of the International Center of Photography.
