What are the artist's technical choices?
When taking most of these photos it looks like he had a long shutter speed to capture what looks to be fog or smoke on the land and tree. However, to capture the horses breathe it looks like he overexposed the image and had it on a fast shutter speed since it was an animal.
What are the artist's conceptual and/or thematic intents?
These photos are the country side of Greece a few miles out of the capital. He wanted to show the difference between the busy capital of Athens and the quite country side. He said it felt like a different place there, like they were two completely separate places.
How do you respond to these choices and intents?
I enjoy the way he took these photos. they seem magical and surreal. I would have never known that this was in Greece unless told. Had said that, I think he did a wonderful job conveying the difference between the capital and the country side of Greece.
