Parker Austin Weekly Artist Post 11

Dennis Hopper

1) Dennis Hopper is an american photographer, actor, and filmmaker. Though a lot of his photographs were lost in a fire. These photographs were taken at the speech of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. They are all black and white portraits ranging in distance to the target. They are all shot either at a tilt, from above, or from below the people in the photo. and were all taken during the day.
2) Trying to capture such a historic moment in a picture took a lot of effort but he tried to get all aspects of what the moment held. The fact of taking the picture of the Nazi from above almost to try and belittle him with a since of schism lighting. The picture of the group shows that they are the respected ones. On the first picture the way the arrow follows the path of the shore line and the waterline all facing the same point is amazing.
3) As i said before the line work on the first one really drags your eye across the photo and the darker colors with the lighting in the second one really adds a lot of detail to the people in the picture. i think the thing i like most about the last one is it almost seems like a band picture, specifically Coheed and Cambria, the stripped shirt guy looks just like him.
