Weekly post #2





David Wright is and American photographer from, that is based in Maine.  The following three photos are from the series Sky Above, Sea Below.

Wright took the photographs while he was working on a commercial lobster of the coast of Maine.  He describes the photos as a sense of reaching out and being able to grasp whats ahead of you, although in reality you are a far distance away.  He also describes the land as a place of desire and want, which is something that human nature can truly turn there backs against.

These photographs from this series appears as simple photos that any person can snap a shot of from any camera, but Wright gives these photos a bigger meaning to them which brings life to the image turning it from a simple landscape photo of the sky and ocean to something of more value.  One thing that I would like to see from this artists is to incorporate more weather into their photos as far as rain, fog, or even snow to give a more natural feeling.
