Tanesha Blake-post #2
Dash Snow, A New York native born in 1981 and died in 2009. Snow's photography was enthused by his way of keeping record of things that he may not remember the next day. His collage work was something he began working on closer towards the end of his life. Snow's work was put into the The Wall Street Journal in 2006. His work is also exhibited in places ranging from the Royal Academy in London, the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, and the White House in Athens.
Snow's work exudes freedom. Although his photos all have specific shapes, the creation in itself is free. One should not make sense of the picture but rather observe it. He creates a masterpiece by not allowing someone to see exactly what they want to see... A picture of a person...or of a tree...etc. Snow owns his photos by adding his own person touch as making them into a collage.
