Bryce Lowe White is Los Angeles
based photographer and photo editor for Surfer Magazine. White grew up
photographing his parents while on the beach and quickly developed an eye for
dramatic action shots and pristine landscapes. White has now done work for huge
companies such as Nike, Red Bull, and Body Glove.
White’s
work does not stay fixed on one specific type of photography such as people,
sports or landscape. Instead he has encompassed each of these things into his
portfolio. His photography seems to me to be more about capturing life rather
than people, places or things. Some of my favorite of his photos are the ones
that encompass people, places and actions all in one picture. Each aspect is
just as important as the other. The moment in time is what he wants to collect
in his photos.
I hope to
develop a more open approach to my photography. I want to set out to capture
moments rather than go out to take pictures of landscape one night and of an
event the other. White’s work inspires me to be more in the moment with my
photography.
