Jada Street- Weekly Post 2

David Wilson

David Wilson was born in 1977 in Italy. His interest in photography suddenly sparked when he broke the top E-string of his guitar in 1998. The three pictures featured above are from a collection of his work called 15kHz. This series was inspired by the buzzing noise that his T.V makes when it is in standby mode. He began to even visualize this irritating noise. He even noticed that this buzzing image was imitated throughout nature.

David Wilson's collection of photographs shows interactions with the natural environment and the silent noise that it creates just with its natural elements. He doesn't just capture trees, he captures trees that make noise. He captures the whole picture rather than focusing in on one object. It is obvious that he strategically picked the time of day to photograph his pictures. I especially enjoy the middle picture because of the reflected sunlight from the windows and the yellow wall obscuring the tree. I actually have recently become interested in mirrors and the reflections created from the sun. These photographs are definitely inspiration for me.
