Jay SanPedro Weekly Pt.3

Phillip-Lorca diCorcia is from Hartford, Connecticut and received an M.F.A from Yale University, is considered on the most innovative and influential photographers still working today.  He is known for images that give a documentary and split feeling of fact and fiction.

The images above show a documentary feeling of prostitution.  The models in the pictures are of shirtless men found in either a hotel or a back alley in acts of selling their body as a source of labor.  The models have succumb to this work in hopes of a ways of survival or escape, and tells a story.

One thing I would like the artists to do is to take pictures of areas where prostitution would possibly take place.  A place in back alley where none would ever possibly notice an act of prostitution happening, past the stage of meet and greet.
