Weekly Pt. 3

Caitlin Atkinson

Catlin Atkinson is an up incoming young photographer. She mainly has captured photos of tranquil plant life. Atkinson has just published a grow, design, and craft book, that she took all the photos for. The book is called Air Plants, The Curious World of Tillandsias. The book contains a bunch of horticulture ideas and styles you can create yourself.
The three pictures i choose though, stood out the most to me. I love the how she zoomed in on the first picture to make it seem different and abstract. The other two garden photos i feel are very well balanced and portray a sense of essence and calming effect. Like how the bright colors of the flower in the foreground almost pop out with the foggy and soft background.
The one thing I learned from her photos is to balance and have a focal point that makes the picture stand out.
