1. Garry Winogrand is a street photographer. He shoots in black and white which gives a documentary style to his photos. The pictures above are from a series called Women are Beautiful. All the pictures are snap shots from women going about their day.
2. Winogrand captures the foreground, middle and background in almost all of his pictures. His photos are of all different types of women doing different things. Some of them notice he is taking the picture and others do not. He does a nice job with varying the angle of the pictures.
3. These photos are interesting to me because it shows different looks of so many women and their mannerisms. I also like these photos because all of them have an interesting use of space. He does not use a shallow depth of field to capture the subject. He allows the viewer to see around and far behind the subject which helps give a better feel for the environment.
