Jena Cumbo uses portraits tell the stories of We Met on the Internet, a series of the success stories of people who live happy lives thanks to the internet. She uses a range of different approaches to her technique, from flahs, to natural lighting, to full body,to closer up.

Cumbo's intent was to capture portraits of couples who have met on the internet. She explores the commonality of internet-born relationships. The subjects ages all varied. Along with the portraits, the viewer gains a look into how they met through the couple's recounting of there internet romance's beginning. Her aim is to comment on the entanglement of our connection with the web as it connects us to others.

I found this project to be interesting. The idea is pretty in the times, seeing how to internet is involved in almost every aspect of our lives. Reading how each of the couples met was quite entertaining and humorous, one of which was by a Poke on Facebook.
