Daniel Picard is a photographer with a great sense of humor. These works he's created are of his figures of famous heroes and villains engaging in mundane everyday life but being everything but mundane for the viewer but it's nice to see that everyone has to take time out for these kinds of things meaning the everyday life we live. The dominant theme is everyday life, like work, bathroom, and the filling up an empty gas tank as all seen above.

These photos are all in a muted color and Picard seems to favor light yellow and blue hues with the occasional stark red. Picard's photos can all be seen in his book Figures and Statues. He has been recognized by the toy company in which the figures originate from; Sideshow Collectibles. The company enjoys his humor and his wonderful art created with their figures so much that they're helping him to make more and they have plans to travel to famous area in the world.

In the examples above, Picard also focuses on not just the character, but the environmental setting.  The setting must be set up to specific looks in order to achieve the pictures he's after.  I'm thinking the set up looks like it takes hours to get perfect for his needs instead of just fast shots especially because his inanimate objects are interacting with real people and moving in environments in some of the shots.  His works can be found here at Daniel Picard. If you like his current work watch for his new works as well coming out next year.
