1. Wim Wenders is a German filmmaker, playwright, author, photographer, and a major figure in German Cinema. He has many creative outlets other than photography and he excels in all of them. He photographs mainly landscapes and other still images.
2. The pictures above are of landscapes which i thought was fitting since we are currently doing a landscape/portrait project. In the first image, the buildings are stacked perfectly in his photo. It has good depth and also draws your eye in as well as up to the top of the buildings. The second image i enjoyed mainly because of the similarity of the white object on the ground and the white sign in the back ground. If it was just one or the other object i dont think this would have been as successful but with them both there it has a great composition. In the third photo i really enjoyed how the sky looks like it has great depth back into the mountains and how it gives an illusion that looks like a wide angle lens.
3. I selected these images because they showed what real landscape photography is about. Each photo has great elements to it, whether it be composition, light, or color. Wim does a great job getting everything out there that needs to be shown. He is also a very accomplished artist through many mediums and i thought it needed to be shared.
