Brandon Hamlet Weekly Post

Sam Dahman

Sam Dahman a photographer from richmond, does a lot of work dealing with portraits. In the first picture in this collection is a portrait where he decided to give his subject some props. This gave this picture the effect of being classy yet cheap with the 40 oz in the champagne class. The second picture is a silhouette of a skateboarder in a hidden spot in richmond. This picture is a mysterious one, where he choose not to show the skateboarder's features. The image still captures the skateboarder and the trick that is being done. The last picture is a portrait of a masked man again in this picture there is a sense of mystery that he is trying to convey to the viewer. All of these pictures took the knowledge to place all of his models into the right position to capture the picture he wanted.
These pictures are all pictures that show urban environments with people being the focus of these particular photographs. These pictures have a mystery in them leaving the audience wondering about what is in the shadows or who is under the mask. The choices that this artist has made created beautiful portraits.
