Mary Jane Morris' Weekly Post

Henrik Knudsen was born in Denmark and studied computer science and mathematics before taking up photography. He creates works that tell a narrative-which is why I was drawn to him. When he isn't doing commercial work, Knudsen uses his free time to work on professional projects. He currently spends his time in New York or London. This artist has very intentional compositions with an eye for color--which might come from his computer science background. You can especially see this in the second picture with how the one chair is turned. That is to replicate the man's figure.
I love his use of contrast in each of his images. His projects tells a story and you can feel the emotion the subject is giving off. I also like how he doesn't pose his subjects too much, they all look like they would naturally be in those stances.Knudsen's photographic skills are extremely impressive. Another thing I noticed is that most of his photos are taken inside. Usually, inside pictures yield poor colored images. His images are colored beautifully--which I admire.
