An american street artist. Never formally educated in the art of photography; Maier studied and practiced her photography skills in her spare time. After Maier's death a storage containing her belongings was auctioned off. The iyems later sold at a thrift store of these items over 100,000 negatives captured on Maier's camera were found. The above images come from Maier's self-portrait collection.
Maier used various settings around the cities she was in to capture a reflectionof herself thus inconspicuously placing herself in the image.
This is a unique approach to making self portraiture. This is definitely something I would love to revamp.
