Brandon Hamlet Weekly Post

Wolfgang Tillmans

Wolfgang tillmans photography is not based on one style of photography he really does a good job at exploring the possibilities that the camera has to offer. The first picture would have had to been taken some where elevated off of the ground because of the angle that he got on the building closet to the viewer. This picture was also taken at an interesting time of day it seems like it would have been right at dusk when the sun was almost done setting. The second picture is a very interesting cluster of clouds that have contrasting blue and orange shades of color through out them. This picture would have had to had been taken during sunrise or sunset it is not evident exactly which one. Last but not least the third picture is a very interesting picture that I am not actually sure how it was made but it looks to be some type of motion blur that is very interesting.
Wolfgang seems to take pictures of all different kinds of things and from his work seems to be very knowledgable about the camera he is working with. This gives him the ability to connect though his photography to many different people. Some of his photos are made for the viewers to question what the subject matter really is but all of the pictures he makes are extremely interesting and successfully made images.
