Monica Turley Weekly Post

Visarute Angkatavanich

Angkatavanich was given beta fish by his father as a child. These fish were his pets, and he remembers being mesmerized by their movements. He would spend up to an hour just observing their movements. This fascination continue into his adulthood once he became a photographer. It was a challenge for him to photograph these fish. He observed each new fish, their colors, their movement, and their character. Some fish were just too jerky to photograph. Others were slow and fluid, thus easy to photograph.

Once He found colors and characteristics he liked in each fish, he had to wait for the opportune moment in movement. He's taken thousands of photographs of these fish and each one is truly amazing. His to capture the graceful details of the fish's body and movement required extreme patience and discipline.
