Franceso Scavulla
Franceso Scavulla was born and raised
in Staten Island, New
York City, NY. Mr
Scavullo began to pursue his love with images of beauty by taking photos of his
sister with his father’s camera. Mr. Scavullo was an American fashion
photographer best known for his work on the covers of Cosmopolitan and his
celebrity portraits. Francesco Scavullo passed away Tuesday, January 6th, 2004.
He was 82 years old.
Francesco
is known for his enamel on canvas photo silkscreens, portraits and still life’s.
Mr. Scavullo’s photos are mesmerizing! He vividly captures
incredible photos! The first image is a picture of a brunette haired women, I
like this photo because the colors are so simple yet the models blue eyes
really pop! The second image is of a woman and child. I like this photo because
even though it is a black and white image, the lighting in the photo adds a
great touch. The third image is actually a photo cover for one of the books Mr.
Scavullo wrote. I like this image because the lighting and the use of color work
amazing together.
