Agnes Thor is a Scandinavian photographer. Thor was attracted to photography at the age of 27. She realized that the serene landscapes and midnight suns and northern lights created such a spectacular moment that needed to be captured. Her main focus when she takes picture is her space within them and the magic that appears right at her home. However, she now lives in New York, but that does not stop her from finding unique compositions of utopia.
Thor's photographs create a sense of euphoria. It takes me to a place of serenity and peace. At the same time, it leaves me questioning what is behind the cloud of smoke or the cloud of color. She takes an approach to photography that aims to exclude rather than include. It is obvious that she is intrigued by nature and the way people interact with nature. I like taking pictures that curate questions and Thor has done a great job at it.
