Weekly Post for Sam Moeller

Curran Hatleberg

Curran Hatleberg was born in 1982 in Washington, D.C. and is currently based in Brooklyn, NY. A graduate of the University of Colorado and the Yale School of Art, his work has been shown in galleries both nationally and internationally and is included in multiple collections. He currently teaches photography at the International Center of Photography and Norwalk Community College.

What drew me to these photos in particular is the strong narrative that they all posses. Without any words, the image itself tells a full story that makes the viewer want to learn more. Many of his photos gain intrigue by just looking at them. His use of light and color adds to the dynamic of each photo. These selected are set in an low income environment which I can relate to.
