1. In the landscape photo, I believe that Susan Worsham was drawn to the red and orange colors of the leaves. Worsham most likely took this picture during autumn when the leaves are changing colors. The colorful leaves are in the middle of photography which automatically draw the eye into the center of the picture. This landscape photo was made in the evening where there is enough light showing, but not bright enough. The blues in the sky look like it is going from light to dark and Worsham probably notice it when she made this picture.
2. In the portrait photo, Susan was most likely making a photo of the woman and found this bedroom to be the best background. The red towel on woman's head and the green apples was a decision that was made by Worsham due to the contrasting colors. The pattern in the sheer shirt match especially the pattern in the mattress and I believe Worsham noticed that and had the woman sit on the floor instead of on top of the bed. The dark wood of the bottom of the bed draws your eye to the dark wood of the headboard. The wall lamp shade matches the color of the yellow shirt and Worsham most likely had her model sit so that she and the lamp was diagonal to each other.
