Kellen Clarke- Weekly Artist Post 7

Tim Tadder

1. Tim Tadder has an eye for commercial and editorial art. He started this media of photography in 2005 after he schooled in Ohio and Virginia. Tim has created work of some of the most historic icons throughout the years and current celebrities. He portrays them in their natural setting in a portrait. If he isn't doing portraits he is working with companies and their products. Tadder uses photoshop 7 light room to create his work.

2. The album, "water wigs" is where the photos are from. The concept was to create something that people don't see day to day. Tim and the creative team looked for bald men & woman as the human subject. The "wig" is created by dropping water balloons on them to create the elaborate splash. In order for the splash to be captured, they had to time the drop, use lasers and sound just to create the perfect hair.

3. I have never seen photos, like these 3, before. The amount of color that is present in the pictures is vibrant and exciting and by adding the water balloons on their heads takes it to another level. Deciding to use a bald subject was the best way to take continuous frames without having major resets. I like how each person has a expression other than fear because they know a water balloon is about to be dropped on their head. That shows full commitment to the shot and the art.
