Jay SanPedro Weekly Post 3

Geert Goiris is a photographer who is infamous for his surreal images of decaying landscapes and distinctive architecture.  The three photographs are from his collection titled Lying Awake.

The images are a reflection of something you would see in a dream.  All three images show intense depth especially from the last image.  It appears as if we are looking down into a deep hole, kind of like a falling dream.  It seems as if Geert Goiris wants us to look at his photos and compare to our own dreams.  I think the first two photos resemble a nightmare because of the bush that is shaped like a spider and with the second image just showing an empty field displaying possible miles of the same scenery.
